While I do believe the team will be better this season (2007-08) as a function of being able to score 35 points a game, too many bad decisions have been made regarding personnel in recent years. Where are Teddy Lehman, Boss Bailey, Mike Williams, and Charles Rogers? Where is any attempt to address the secondary or the quarterback position? It's no mystery why this team performs so badly; the personnel management has been very inadequate. Whether this is a result of an unwillingness to spend on top free agents (e.g. Drew Brees), or being unable to evaluate top talent, or being unable to develop young talent is unknown to me, but the issues need to explored and resolved to allow this team to compete.

I have been a loyal Fan of the Detroit Lions for 20 years now, and I am not sure if I will be able to make it much longer, this franchise has been the joke of not only the NFL but in all sports, the only thing that I would want to ask of this franchise is that we at least take the steps needed to competitive. The fact that people can take advantage of the love for this city and this team and keep producing such a poor product knowing we will continue to fill the stands is highway robbery. It has to start somewhere, So my money will stay in my wallet until the fords use there money to produce a better product (speaking only of the lions and not the ford vehicles.

So being a member to the "Ford Family" in a way I do beg you to sell our beloved Detroit Lions to someone who will actually take interest in seeing our team reach the caliber of play we have hoped for these many years.
